Concentration in Transition Services

If you are interested in working with adolescents with disabilities - this program may be for you!
Transition services focus on the needs of high school students with disabilities in transition to employment or post-high-school education.  This continues to be an area of need and is a growing priority for service providers across the country.
The USU Rehab Counseling master's program provides a special concentration in transition services as an option within the MRC program.  Some of the benefits of the USU program include:

  • Interdisciplinary Training Approach
  • Transition specific courses
  • Internships in the school system
  • Scholarships may be available

Concentration Specific Courses

  • REH 6510 (2 credits) - Transition to Employment
  • REH 6530 (2 credits) - Transition to Higher Education
  • REH 6140 (3 credits) - Practicum in Transition
  • REH 6170 (9 credits) - Internship in Transition
  • SPED 6060 (3 credits) - Legal Issues in Special Education

TOTAL - 57 credit hour master's program
