Certificate in Competitive Integrated Employment for People with Significant Disabilities

We are accepting applications now for Fall 2017 admission. 


The certificate in Competitive Integrated Employment for People with Significant Disabilities is designed to respond to the expanded integrated employment expectations for people with significant disabilities by teaching counselors about the customized employment process. 

  • 16 graduate credit hours
  • Complete in 1 year (3 semesters)
  • All classes offered through distance education (courses are streamed live through the internet in the evenings).
  • RSA Scholarships available to qualifying students

To apply for the program, we require:

1)      Submission of online application


2)      Transcripts verifying your most recent degree sent to (transcripts do NOT need to be official):

3)      $35 application fee (check made out to Special Education & Rehabilitation) to Kris at the address above (online payments not available at this time).


RSA Scholarship

RSA Scholarships are available.  Scholarships cover all tuition and fees, but NOT textbooks.  There is a payback required for this scholarship.  If you receive scholarship funding, you agree to work in a qualifying rehabilitation counseling position for 2 years for every 1 year of support recieved.  The payback time begins when you complete the certificate (there is a grace period to obtain qualifying employment).  If you do not work in a qualifying position after certifcate completion, you will be required to payback the $ amount of the scholarship received to the Rehabiliation Services Administration.
